Most
teams have challenges, whether it’s a management change, a
merger, or internal communication. These inevitable challenges are
having a devastating affect on corporate performance and profitability.
Byrd Baggett helps businesses deal with one of the most prevalent
problems in today’s fast paced, high-tech world – disengaged
teams. Byrd’s mission is to reconnect teams by teaching them
the skills essential to developing relationships that stand the
tests of time and change. His solutions have been featured in many
publications, including Reader’s Digest, Bits & Pieces,
Guide Posts, and Selling Power magazine.
For
over 15 years, Byrd has helped numerous Fortune 500 companies develop
passionately engaged teams. Whether he’s preparing to speak
to a corporate sales force or a management team, Byrd does his homework
before he delivers his program. Through on-line surveys, phone interviews,
and even onsite meetings, Byrd examines organizations from the inside
to uncover the issues that sabotage peak performance.
Then
it’s program time, and to say that Byrd works magic is an
understatement. Byrd’s repeat-invitation rate is a remarkable
90%! For example, the world’s largest insurance company turns
to Byrd again and again to motivate their agency force and sales
management team.
Why
do organizations continue to bring Byrd back to work with their
teams? It’s because he works like a laser surgeon who identifies
the problem, then systematically goes about changing the mindsets
that contribute to the issues that hold teams back.
Byrd’s
common-sense solutions come from experience…
-
Successful sales and management careers with two Fortune 500 companies.
-
Built a successful multi-million dollar food delivery business.
-

Biting
the Fiduciary Bullet: When they're running you out of town, get
at the head of the line and make it look like a parade!
Congress
has been dealing with financial reform and deciding whether insurance
agents and registered representatives will be fiduciaries. Since
fiduciary equals commission disclosure, there's no lack of opinion
on this hot topic. Are we fiduciaries? Will we be? If the Brits
couldn't do it - how do we conduct our business; indeed, how do
we stay in business? How do we market to businesses and consumers
with the commission Sword of Damocles hanging over our head?
Dick's
done it all - he was a 25-year successful insurance agent in business
and estate planning in the San Francisco Bay Area; then in senior
management of a life insurance company; more recently an independent
consultant to family offices (2008 “production” was
in excess of $1 Billion permanent insurance). He's the author of
“Life Insurance as an Asset Class,” and the 2010-2011
Secretary of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. His
lifelong work in ethical selling and support of agents dealing with
daunting compliance issues brings him to our industry's greatest
challenge: fiduciary practice standards and commission disclosure.
This presentation is designed to inspire new thinking and creative
responses so that the industry and its professional agents can continue
to thrive in an increasingly challenging legislative and compliance
environment.
Robert
Krumroy
The
goal was to graduate from college and then enter the construction
business with his father, one of the largest contractors in Ohio.
But during his junior year, tragedy struck. His father’s cancer
was diagnosed as terminal. A year later, the family’s second-generation
business was liquidated for pennies. All was lost. There were no
assets, except for the insurance money that has comfortably supported
his mother for the past 30 years. That was his introduction to insurance;
a tragic but compelling experience that created a passion for the
insurance industry.
After
having his work aspirations dashed, his former college football
coach approached him about a career in the insurance industry. Beginning
his career in Kalamazoo, Michigan, his early sales success catapulted
him to winning the company’s new agent of the year. Two years
later he transitioned to sales manager, winning the top Sales Manager
in the country with the Principal Financial Group his first year.
He moved to Greensboro, NC as Agency Manager in 1980 and rapidly
built an initial 3-agent office to the #1 agency in the U.S. –
a Master Award Agency, one of the largest 100 financial agencies
in America. Krumroy began his career in the insurance business in
1973, transitioned into management in 1976, and built one of the
100 largest financial services agencies in the United States –
specializing in working with business owners. He qualified sixteen
times for the National Management Award and was awarded the prestigious
Master Agency Award – given nationally to only 100 managers
yearly.
Building an organization to this size in a town of 230,000 is still
a remarkable accomplishment. Robert’s degree in social psychology,
coupled with his intense focus on marketing was the driving combination
to help position his firm within his local community.
Robert is also the creator and CEO of E-Relationship, the patented
financial industry connection tool for clients and prospects. His
speaking, consulting, and educational workshops are filled with
unique insights. They show how to create compelling prospect attraction
in a market that is often referred to as The Age of Skepticism.
Advisors will walk away with methods and examples that can be used
immediately to improve business. Most importantly he informs and
inspires audience members to use the knowledge he provides to achieve
breakthrough performance. Krumroy has been featured as a regular
marketing columnist for the GAMA International Journal, author of
four books, Identity Branding – Distinct or Extinct (In its
fourth printing), Brilliant Strategies and Fatal Blunders, Please…Make
ME a Little Bit Famous and It’s NOT About Luck – Solving
Your Advisor’s Activity Problem. He is also a frequent contributor
to six magazines, has served on the GAMA teaching faculty for “Best
Practices,” and is a highly sought after speaker and marketing
consultant both nationally and internationally. He has been introduced
on many occasions as one of the most brilliant marketing minds in
America and is referred to as “America’s Branding Coach.”
